- I believe in making education our top priority, including job training, recreational programming, and arts education.
- I believe in fighting for economic justice because affordable housing, decent jobs, and quality health care are human rights.
- I believe in promoting financial and ecological literacy in children and adults that makes healthy people and healthy neighborhoods the norm, not the exception.
- I believe in improving the quality of life in our neighborhoods, including reducing chronic flooding, eliminating ‘food deserts,’ and promoting local business.
- I believe in treating drug addiction as a disease, not a crime.
- I believe in reforming our corrections system to repair and rehabilitate, not just to punish.
- I believe in investing in our working families with social services to prevent homelessness, reduce addiction, and eliminate poverty.
- I believe in providing support for those that need it, including veterans returning to civilian life, victims of domestic abuse, workers who have lost their jobs, people with disabilities, and former inmates re-entering society.
