Mike Slaton was raised to believe that all people are created equal, that no one deserves to be left behind, and that good people never stop working for justice.
Mike is the Partnership Manager for Louisville Metro Parks and the Vice-President of the Kentuckiana Association of Volunteer Administrators. A long-time member of the local theater community, Mike will be a passionate advocate for the arts and arts education in the General Assembly. Mike formerly worked for the Fairness Campaign as a grassroots organizer and legislative agent, and he has volunteered with many other civic advocacy groups over the years.
Mike attended Holy Spirit Elementary School and St. Francis High School (both located in District 41) and graduated from the University of Louisville cum laude with a B.A. in History. Mike and his partner Jake live in Phoenix Hill, where they recently bought their first home.
This is Mike’s first campaign for public office.
